The collection is a binder of photographs, news clippings, correspondence and promotional materials about Lip Sinc International, Incorporated, a lip-synching competition hosted in Seattle and Houston in the 1980s. Participants dressed up as famous celebrities, sometimes in drag, and impersonated their songs. Lip Sinc International, Incorporated was a plaintiff against Dick Clark Productions and used the material in the binder as evidence in the case.

The collection documents the activities at McChord Air Force base in the 1940s including portraits of commanding officers and photographs depicting events such as medal ceremonies, training exercises and leisure activities.

Collection includes ephemera, photographs, sound recordings, published articles, and obituaries related to the life and career of Jonathan Moore, who was an influential figure in the Northwest hip hop scene from 1989 to 2017.

The Seattle grunge collection contains local and national newspaper clippings, magazine articles, fanclub newsletters, and other printed ephemera from 1989 through 2005 that focus on Seattle’s grunge music and musicians, concerts, record labels, recording studios, and music festivals.

The Seattle Room matchbook collection contains hundreds of covers from businesses throughout Washington State. The majority of the matchbooks are from Seattle and advertise notable places such as the Bon Marche, Bush Garden, Edgewater Inn, Ivar’s, Olympic Hotel, and Space Needle.

This collection includes 43 photographs showing events, dances and other daily activities of Army service clubs at Camp George Jordan, Fort Lewis and Fort Lawton between 1944 and 1951. The collection is notable for photographs of Black soldiers based at Camp Jordan and images of integrated service club events.
