The collection includes a variety of printed materials from The Harbor Club, a private club which closed in 2015 after 56 years at the top of the Norton Building in downtown Seattle.

This collection is the result of nearly two decades of research on Washington State history by HistoryLink. The bulk of these documents were compiled during the production of HistoryLink publications, a list of which can be found in the related materials section of this finding aid. Documents within the collection include newspaper clippings, reports, interview transcripts, and promotional materials.

The collection includes theater magazines and programs from Seattle’s Metropolitan, Moore, Orpheum and President theaters from 1917 to 1936. The collection also includes a journal which Keene is believed to have kept from approximately the 1930s to the 1960s.

Correspondence, photographs and other ephemera related to Seattle music teacher, LeEtta Sanders King and her son, Winfield King, who was a local bandleader and a member of the Negro Musicians Union.

The collection is a binder of photographs, news clippings, correspondence and promotional materials about Lip Sinc International, Incorporated, a lip-synching competition hosted in Seattle and Houston in the 1980s. Participants dressed up as famous celebrities, sometimes in drag, and impersonated their songs. Lip Sinc International, Incorporated was a plaintiff against Dick Clark Productions and used the material in the binder as evidence in the case.

This collection includes materials related to Reverend Samuel B. and Louise McKinney as well as Mt. Zion Baptist Church where Samuel McKinney served as pastor for over 40 years.
