Robert Anthony Romeo performing arts programs collection

 Collection
Identifier: 1000-003

Scope and Contents

Materials in this collection include programs and playbills, along with accompanying printed materials for the productions Mr. Romeo attended. These materials include mailings, advertisements, and announcements of upcoming productions. The programs usually have the ticket stub stapled to one of its pages, and range in date from 1970 to 2006. Mr. Romeo also collected materials he saved from his travels to New York, which include programs from the Metropolitan Opera and Broadway productions. Also in the collection are materials from Seattle’s Bumbershoot Festival and International Film Festival, as well as seating charts for various Seattle theatres.

Gaps in the collection occur due to some of the original containers being infested with mold. These gaps include the Spring 1980-Fall 1986 productions at Intiman Theatre, the Fall 1993-Summer 1999 productions at Seattle Opera, and Fall 1994-Spring 1996 productions at Seattle Repertory Theatre.
