Scope and Contents
This collection includes a variety of ephemera related to neighborhoods throughout Seattle including buttons, brochures, pamphlets, postcards business directories, promotional real estate documents, brief histories, newsletters, flyers and community studies as well as a few periodical issues and clippings. These materials were created by various community organizations, historical societies and local businesses among others. This collection includes real estate development documents for Seattle’s Blue Ridge neighborhood and Shoreline’s Lago Vista neighborhood which were racially restricted communities, allowing only white buyers to purchase property.
