Scope and Contents
This collection is the result of nearly two decades of research on Washington State history, with a focus on King County and the Greater Seattle Area. The collection includes newspaper clippings, reports, promotional materials, ephemera, interview transcripts, and photographs. The subject areas that represent the bulk of the materials in the collection include the 1909 Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exhibition, the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair, Seattle area ports and transportation, and the Seattle Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center (CHRMC). This collection also contains audiocassette recordings of interviews with board members and directors from Seattle City Light (see Box 3).
